Terry Gold of idOnDemand to Present at BSidesROC 2012
Terry Gold, Vice President of idOnDemand (an Identive business unit), will be presenting at the 2012 Security B-Sides Rochester event this weekend on May 12. In the session entitled “RFIDLOL,” he will discuss the use of RFID access cards as means of securing entry points. Highly convenient, relatively inexpensive and generally assumed to be secure, the session will explain how these cards are programmed, what their vulnerabilities are, and the choices available to secure them. During the hour-long talk, Terry will demonstrate how the most common access card can be hacked, cloned, and minted.
BSidesROC 2012 will be an innovative one-day security conference focused on sharing ideas, insights, and developing longstanding relationships with others in the information security community. For more information of the event, click here.
